Rainbow Dash sat upright in her hospital bed, beginning to feel a little better. She looked around, wishing someone was there to keep her company. She glanced through the window on the door as best she could from her angle, and sighed. The clock read 2:24. She wouldn't be getting a visitor for another two and a half hours. She sighed, rolled over, and wrapped her hooves around her pillow. She didn't know what to think about, what to say, what to do. She had been confused as to whether or not she was a filly fooler since middle school, and now that she'd decided to embrace it, she was going to die. There was no point in fantasizing about having a fillyfriend, now that she was on the brink of death. She cuddled her pillow tighter, her eyes beginning to feel like she might cry again. She didn't want to cry anymore, it was so draining and depressing, not exactly how she wanted to spend her last thirteen days.

"Why? Why do I have to finally accept stuff like this..." She thought to herself, "...Then... Die?" She was upset that she finally decided she was a filly fooler, and could never have a ponyfriend. It was too late, what would her pick up line be? "Hey, go out with me and I SWEAR you'll never hear from me again!" With an added wink... She sighed, and rolled over again, refusing to let her grip on her pillow go.

She continued to think of what Applejack had said to her, when she admitted her secret... How Applejack blushed and stared at her in disbelief. How it truly knocked down Rainbow Dash's ego a few pegs, which was not an easy feat. She had finally mustered the response, but it was in the form of an "Well... Urm, okay, sugar."

Admittedly, she didn't particularly want Applejack to make a HUGE deal of the news, but she barely said anything about it. And it wasn't the "Well, I don't mind" type of silence, it was the "Wow... That's creepy." silence. Rainbow covered her face as she began to wonder if Applejack thought she was hitting on her. Rainbow Dash stared at the phone by her bed, and decided she had to clear it up.

Like a flash, her arm stretched out to the phone and pulled it to her face. She struggled to press the buttons with her hooves, then pressed the phone to her ear.

It rang several times, and she heard Applejack answer, saying, "'Ello?" There was silence, as Rainbow began to realize she hadn't decided what exactly to say. She couldn't exactly abruptly announce "I'M NOT IN LOVE WITH YOU!!!" She panicked, and hung up.

"Wow... Really?" She mentally asked herself, "You've become that person? You're going to call someone, breath heavily, then hang up? You're THAT creepy girl?" Rainbow Dash frowned at her own thoughts. She rolled over, still not having fully let go of the pillow, and glaring at the wall in front of her. "You're. Pathetic." She thought. She began grunting to herself in frustration. Why was she feeling this way? She was awesome! She knew that! She was the coolest pony in Ponyville, how could she have such abruptly LAME thoughts? She moaned pathetically and rolled over again.

"I'm never getting to sleep..." She thought to herself.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Assshhhh...?" A voice came from the dark, "Dssshhhh?" The rainbow pony incoherently flung her hooves around, trying to defend herself from whatever was making these bizarre noises.
"DASH!" A clear, feminine voice cried out. Rainbow Dash quickly sat up, her name being called startling her. She had fallen asleep, the visitor must be here.

"Who? What?" Dash said, looking around eagerly. There was no one there. "Wow. I'm hearing things... My own dream woke me up... That's cool, I guess." The thought with an annoyed mental tone. She laid back down, facing the ceiling, just when a pink face appeared out of nowhere.

"DASH!!! HI!!! ARE YOU OKAY!?? HOW ARE YOU FEELING!? WHAT'S UP!?!? I HOPE YOU'RE FEELING BETTER!! SHOULD I THROW A GET WELL SOON PARTY!?!? HUH?? HUH??? HUH???? SHOULD I!?" Pinkie Pie ranted as Dash stared at her with an irritated glare. Why? Why, she thought, Did they choose the send Pinkie Pie in? And why was she going to throw me a GET WELL SOON party? She knew she wouldn't be getting well anytime soon. She was over. Everything was over. She had lost all opportunities to do anything fun. Fun was over.

She sighed and tried not to tear up again. It was evident her depressing, and irritating thoughts wouldn't be going away any time soon.

"Hello, Pinkie..." Dash sighed, "What's up?" She immediately regretted the decision of asking her that question. Pinkie must have broken a world record for most-barely-understandable-words-in-a-minute.

After several moments, she finally asked Dash how she was doing. Dash looked at her, realizing she was standing on Dash's bed. Dash glared at her and said, "I'm fine. Dying, but doing it with style."

Pinkie giggled and the two talked for what must have been at least half an hour. Eventually, Dash slipped her eyes away to glance at the clock. It had been twelve minutes. She was going to be in the room for almost fifty more minutes.

"Good god." Dash thought, "They're trying to give me diabetes too."

"Well, I just wanted to see you really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, bad," Pinkie said. Dash immediately grew hope. Was someone else coming to see her? She liked Pinkie, but she was a bit too energetic for her in this state. "So, anyway, there's someone else that wants to see you. Like, really, really, really, really, really, really, really..."

"Just say who it is, Pinkie." Dash ordered her.

"Okay! Applejack!" This made Rainbow's ears flatten. This was not good. Applejack probably knew it was her who called a couple of hours ago, and was going to interrogate her about it. Or worse, she's coming to tell her she's not interested, when Rainbow didn't even like her that way.

Pinkie said goodbye to her, and Applejack came in shortly after Pinkie left. Rainbow Dash laid there awkwardly, hoping Applejack wouldn't know it was her who called earlier. Applejack sat by her bed, and looked her in the eyes, not saying anything. She looked scared, and concerned.

"Are uhh... You okay?" Rainbow Dash asked her. Applejack shrugged.

"Well... Uhh... Ah just wanted t'tell ya somethin'," Applejack said. Oh god, thought Rainbow, she wasn't interested, but being rejected didn't feel good no matter what.

"Ah want ya to stay with me at ol' Apple Acres." Applejack told her. Rainbow Dash blushed, not realizing what to say. Not only did Applejack apparently think she was interested, but she was going along with it. She had no idea what to do.

"Uhh... Why?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Well... Ah don't want y'all t'be alone... An'... Well... I'm... I'm wonderin' 'bout somethin'..." Applejack said. Rainbow Dash tilted her head in confusion.

"Aw, heck." Applejack shrugged. She quickly bent over the bed and kissed Rainbow Dash, right on the lips. Applejack kept her eyes closed, but Rainbow Dash was in such shock that she kept her eyes wide, trying to grasp what was happening. Then, she felt the worst possible thing happen.

"No... Not here... Not now," Rainbow Dash thought to herself. But it was too late. "It's... So embarrassing..." But before she could fight it, her wings spread out like boards. She blushed and pulled away, covering her face. she HATED when her wings did that.
Okay, I figured we had a bit of sadness already, so I tried my best to wrap it up and get to some happiness :) Hope you enjoy! And thank you, everyone that has supported, favorited, and watched me! It means... SO MUCH to me! :D
